About the Owners

The Lodge at Beaver Creek is owned by Alabama natives Kathy Horne and Wesley Horne. The mother and son team have more than 60 years of experience in event planning, marketing, and entrepreneurship. Kathy served as Executive Director of a non-profit where she organized and managed golf tournaments, awards ceremonies, banquets, raffles and more. She has partnered with sponsors, various agencies, and coordinated with vendors to make special events memorable and successful occasions for all involved.

Wesley is the owner and creator of the Form App, available on Apple operating systems, which now has its own patent. A former NBA coach, he is also the owner of Dynamic Sports Team which runs youth teams and private training in basketball in and around the Charleston, SC area.
